Gvantsa Elgendashvili is a Senior Advisor at the Consulting Department of SBC Audit. Her main areas of specialization include international business transactions, corporate governance, capital markets, secured transactions and project finance. Gvantsa is an S.J.D. (PhD) Candidate in Law at Central European University (CEU) pursuing a doctoral program with dual accreditation in the U.S. and Austria. Her dissertation topic – Securitization of Intellectual Property Assets: In Search of Efficient Rules, touches upon three areas of law – capital markets law, secured transactions and intellectual property laws. Apart from the stated, her research interest also involves the European Union’s internal markets. Gvantsa is a recipient of the CEU Advanced Doctoral Award for her exceptional legal research. Ms. Elgendashvili is a holder of the Certificate of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Investment Foundations (2022).

Ms. Elgendashvili served as a Senior Associate at SBC Legal. She acquired extensive experience representing high-profile international and domestic clients in a broad range of multi-million transactions. Gvantsa also served as the Co-Partner and the Chief Legal Associate at SYNCHRONIUM®, a global innovation company employing blockchain technology that helps businesses to integrate digital assets and cryptographical tokens. Ms. Elgendashvili also worked as a lawyer for international construction companies.

In addition to her practical work, Gvantsa is actively involved in teaching various topics. She co-taught the courses – Capital Markets and Securities Regulation, Comparative Secured Transactions Law, and the Legal Aspects of Corporate Finance at Central European University (Vienna, Austria), designed and taught more than seven bachelor and master courses at Georgian-American University (Tbilisi, Georgia).

Gvantsa holds an LL.M degree in International Business Law from CEU and a Master’s degree in Private Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Ms. Elgendashvili is an author of various academic articles and works in the fields of corporate and secured transactions, corporate governance, and intellectual property laws.

In addition to her native Georgian, Gvantsa is fluent in English and Russian languages, and has an intermediate knowledge of Turkish and German languages.
